BTS agency Big Hit Entertainment release official statement through Japanese official fan club on Nov 8, stating that ‘BTS who were originally scheduled to appear on Nov 9 Asahi TV music program “Music Station” was cancelled. We apologize to all fans whose have been waiting for their performance. BTS will continue to work hard to show better music and stages to all fans.’
Music Station also released official statement through website, stating that ‘The design of T-shirt that BTS member wore in the past caused a controversy. We have discussed with the agency about the purpose of wearing that T shirt and there for we carefully decided to postpone their appearance.’
The clothes that Asahi TV seems to be referring to is a T-shirt that member Jimin once wore as private clothes. The T-shirt is printed with graphics showing the faces of Korean celebrating National Liberation Day and the scene of atomic bomb dropped in Japan.
Meanwhile, BTS will start their ‘LOVE YOURSELF’ Japan dome tour from Tokyo dome.
